University of Southern Maine Advocacy Network
USM -- with 10,500 students, 84,000 citizens enrolled in non-credit programs, and 24,000 alumni who live and work in Maine -- is an essential educational, cultural and economic resource for our state.
By using collective resources and relationships, USM's Advocacy Network can promote the value of USM and all of Maine’s public universities to the educational, economic, and cultural well-being of our state and its residents. Leaders include the University of Maine System Board of Trustees, Chancellor Richard L. Pattenaude, the Presidents of the System’s seven universities, and those universities’ Boards of Visitors.
We invite you to join this grass-roots effort. Membership is free. You will receive regular updates via e-mail regarding university-related news, legislation, and key events. In addition, members will be invited to attend regionally based social events and receptions with policy-makers, university leaders, and special guests.
Maine needs strong universities; Maine’s universities need strong advocates!
