University of Maine Advocacy Network
The purpose of the Network is to build and sustain strong support for Maine’s public universities among policy-makers and the public as a whole.
By using collective resources and relationships, the Advocacy Network promotes the value of the University of Maine and Maine’s other public universities to the educational, economic, and cultural well-being of our state and its residents. Leaders include the University of Maine System Board of Trustees, Chancellor Richard L. Pattenaude, UMaine President Robert A. Kennedy, the Presidents of the System’s other six universities, and those universities’ Boards of Visitors.
We invite you to join this grass-roots effort. Membership is free. As a member, you will receive regular updates via e-mail regarding university-related news, updates, legislation, and key events. In addition, members will be invited to attend regionally based social events and receptions with policy-makers, university leaders, and special guests.
Maine needs a strong University of Maine; UMaine needs strong advocates!
